The Highlands Eichler Home Tour and Show is coming. It is an event that celebrates the mid-century modern architecture of Joseph Eichler homes. Our theme is Green Innovations and falls on the Friday and Saturday of Earth Day Weekend, April 24th and 25th. (See www.eichlerhometour.com)
This years' event is featuring a green and modern art fair. We are hand selecting 20 artists and craftspeople to participate. We would especially love to have metal sculptures, fountains, clocks, wall pieces or other cool elements to have in open, light-filled homes like Eichlers.
There is no fee to you. As a selected artist, you get a 10x10 space to set up and sell your art. Visa machines will be on site to handle large dollar transactions. In return, we ask that you donate 10% of any sales made at the event to the local elementary school, Highlands .
It is going to be a very large event. What started two years ago as a small fundraising idea, has become a phenomenon. Over 1200 guests looking for home update ideas and shopping for modern décor items will stream in between 9am and 12 noon over the two days.
We are going to great lengths to select a variety of non-competing art styles and genres. If selected, the deadline for accepting our invitation to register as a featured artist is March 5th.
