A brand new music festival is being planned for the end of August in Downtown York: The Pennsylvania Cigar Box Guitar Festival. This is a collaboration between www.CigarBoxNation.com and the York Emporium bookstore and is scheduled for Saturday, August 28 from 10am-5pm. This is the same weekend as YorkFest and is just two blocks away at the York Emporium's parking lot (and in their store).
The cigar box guitar festival will feature 10 acts from around the East Coast performing on two different stages. Info is at http://www.CigarBoxGuitar.com/ on the acts. This festival is unlike any other because it not only features music, but also the craft of building homemade instruments.
