Maker Meetups: Makers in Baltimore?

I have been reading the magazine for years now, and started thinking, people in a lot of other cities are having a great time getting together with other makers.

So it got me thinking, are there any makers in the Baltimore, Columbia, Catonsville area?

I would like to start a group of makers, and um, make stuff? I build R/c sailboats, Subs and planes, and am learning (and trying to teach my students) about lego mindstorms.

every month I read the zine, and think, I would like to build that......

I admit, I have no idea where this will go, or what it should look like but am interested in seeing how it goes.
