I want to make a way to measure the force of an impact and place of impact on a pell to be used as a training aid. I am a novice in the make community and would really appreciate the help.

How accurate does it need to be in terms of force and position? For example, for position, do you only need to record a general area on the pell or do need to hits that are an inch or two apart? For force, do need accurate force measurement or just to know that the current hit was harder than the previous?

Location and psi are both important but pen point accuracy is not necessary.
